The compaction of work, precarious working conditions, permanent restructuring - that is the flipside of the fact that Deutsche Welle has experienced an enormous boost in productivity in recent years. At the same time, dealing with freelancers in particular leaves much to be desired.

The good wage agreements at the Federal Government last year and at the Länder this year show ways which are also interesting for the employees of DW. However, good working conditions and adequate pay do not fall from the sky, but depend to a large extent on how well employees* are organised in trade unions.
On the way to the 2020 collective bargaining round, we asked you about your wishes and ideas for improvements as part of the "Spring Cleaning" campaign. You can see the results on this website (unfortunately only in German, as most of the information comes directly from our colleagues).
Meanwhile, collective bargaining is taking place at ARD. You can follow their progress on this website. It is becoming apparent that we must be well prepared for the coming collective bargaining round!
